I am a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Â鶹ÊÓƵ in Beaumont, TX. My research looks at stochastic transportation system modeling and analysis, big data analysis, GIS applications, waterway transportation and electric vehicles. Please check  for my recent publications. 

I received my Ph.D. degree in Transportation from Northwestern University, and two M.S. degrees from Carnegie Mellon University (Civil Engineering) and Tsinghua University in China (Management Science and Engineering). I received my B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Tsinghua University.

I now serve as a member of one standing National Transportation Research Board Committee: Marine Safety and Human Factors (AW040). I teach a variety of courses covering transportation engineering, project management, engineering probabilities and statistics, GIS, AutoCAD and surveying.

I joined in Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 2012 as an Assistant Professor, and tenured promoted to Associate Professor in 2018, and promoted to Full Professor in 2025.
