Dr. Wu

I am a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in Beaumont, TX. My research looks at stochastic transportation system modeling and analysis, big data analysis, GIS applications, waterway transportation and electric vehicles. Please check  for my recent publications. 

I received my Ph.D. degree in Transportation from Northwestern University, and two M.S. degrees from Carnegie Mellon University (Civil Engineering) and Tsinghua University in China (Management Science and Engineering). I received my B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Tsinghua University.

I now serve as a member of one standing National Transportation Research Board Committee: Marine Safety and Human Factors (AW040). I teach a variety of courses covering transportation engineering, project management, engineering probabilities and statistics, GIS, AutoCAD and surveying.

I joined in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in 2012 as an Assistant Professor, and tenured promoted to Associate Professor in 2018, and promoted to Full Professor in 2025.
