Applications open for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Ambassadors through March 2

Application packets for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Ambassadors will be available until March 2, 2017 in the Office of Alumni Affairs located in the John Gray Center, Rudy C. Williams Building, Suite 102 on the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ campus. 

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Ambassador group“Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Ambassadors are a select group who represent the student body at official university functions”, said Shannon Copeland, director of alumni affairs and advancement services.  “Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Ambassadors work to promote university pride among students, alumni and friends of the university; have a high level of involvement on campus; and are well informed about the university and what it has to offer students, alumni and the community.”

To apply for membership in as an Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Ambassadors, an applicant must:

  • Be a full time, officially registered Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ undergraduate student who has completed at least one semester at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and will be classified as a sophomore or junior in the fall of 2017
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 and maintain that GPA in order to retain membership in the organization
  • Submit an Ambassadors application including a letter of interest, transcript, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ faculty or staff recommendation, and resume
  • Have approval from his/her college dean
