Charge: The Athletics Council is charged with advising the President of Â鶹ÊÓƵ and the Director of Athletics on matters related to intercollegiate athletics. The Council serves as an advocate for student-athletes to promote academic achievement, well-being, and a positive student-athlete experience to become contributing members within their communities.
Membership & Reporting: The Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) is appointed by the President of Â鶹ÊÓƵ and the remaining Council membership is composed of 20 of the following individuals voted on by other entities across campus: Voting Members (15 of the 20), 1 NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative (Chair), 10 faculty, 2 students, 2 administration representatives. 5 Ex-Officio, Non-voting Members. A call for interest in serving on the Athletics Advisory Board will periodically go out to the campus community in an effort to identify a diverse representation of the University community. Each faculty and administrative representative will serve a three–year term. Student representation will be appointed by the Vice President of Student Affairs.
