Enjoy Solar Smoothies For Energy Awareness Month

Phi Beta Delta Event Lunch and Learn: Dr. Yasuko Sato to speak on Japanese Samurai-Turned-Scholars

Professor Yasuko Sato will be her research on how intellectual giants in Tokugawa (1603-1868) Japan were samurai-turned-scholars who ventured into the world of learning with the samurai ethos intact. Their reading prowess can be educationally inspirational, especially in the age of AI.

Bring your paint and brushes for a Plein Air painting event hosted by Xenia Fedorchenko and the Beneficial Use of Drainage Material Action Coalition. There will be a demonstration at 10 a.m. followed by free paint time from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact the Department of Art & Design for more information.

Cellist Christopher Adkins to Present Free Recital

Date: Sunday, Nov. 2, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Location: Rothwell Recital Hall

Christopher Adkins, principal cellist of the Dallas Symphony, will present a free recital along with Lamar piano faculty, Jacob Clark. The recital will include works of Bach, Schumann as well as a collection of pieces related to fairy tales.
