Taco Truck at Spindletop Boomtown Museum

Come enjoy lunch at Spindletop Boomtown Museum. Delicious food by Tacos Y Fruta Arellanos is served every Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Center for Resiliency Continues Disaster Backpack Distributions on Wednesdays

Prepare for hurricane season with the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Center for Resiliency Smartstorm disaster training and receive a backpack complete with emergency supplies to assist you and your family in the event of a disaster. Bring your participation verification to the Signature Center suites located in the Cherry Engineering Building on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Center for Resiliency Research Showcase

Date: Wednesday, Aug. 21, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Location: Science & Technology Building, Bird House

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Center for Resiliency will host another Research Showcase in the Science and Tech Building Bird House. Come see research from across the colleges of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ while networking with alumni, staff, students and Southeast Texas professionals. Light snacks and beverages provided.

Boomtown Bartly
Boomtown Summer Serenade: BARTLY

Date: Friday, Aug. 23, 7:30 p.m.
Location: Spindeltop Boomtown Museum

The next Boomtown Summer Serenade series performance will feature musical artist BARTLY on Friday, August 23 at for a night of live music food, drinks, and local art vendors. Come early to browse and shop at local craft vendor tables. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., music starts at 8 p.m. Entry fee is $5, or free for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ students.

Magnificent Seven
Boomtown Cinema Under The Stars

Date: Friday, Aug. 30, 8 - 11 p.m.
Location:

Location: Join us for a night filled with laughter and nostalgia for the viewing of The Magnificent Seven. With food trucks and adult beverages, it's the perfect Friday night outing. Food truck, concessions and drinks will be available for purchase. Entry is $5, or free for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ students.

2024 Digital Ticket Learning Technologies Conference

Date: Friday, Oct. 25, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Setzer Student Center

Free online registration is now open for the 2024 Digital Ticket Conference. Registered attendees will attend sessions centered on digital learning and the latest in educational technology. Registration includes lunch and coffee/snacks between sessions. Session proposals will be accepted through August 31.

First Generation Connections Launches This Fall

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Office of Strategic Initiatives is launching First Generation (First Gen) Connections this fall. The purpose is to engage first-generation students using holistic approaches to advance curricular and co-curricular outcomes and transform their college experience. The First Gen Connections program is for students whose parent(s) did not complete a four-year degree.
